A Few Hours of Fun at the Omaha Zoo!!

My three handsome boys standing next to a Komodo dragon statue at the Omaha Zoo! We were all a bit tired after Ben's baseball tournament, but couldn't pass up a quick trip to the zoo.

The Gorilla's were the excitement for the day! They were all very active...splashing through the water, throwing themselves up against the glass, and fighting with each other. Ben and Drew got a big kick out of them...they didn't want to leave because they didn't want to miss any of the action.

This big guy up above was one of Drew's favorites...he kept picking his noise and eating it:) My favorite spot was the aquarium. The sharks, stingrays, and jellyfish were just too cool!!

The penguin's and Polar bear were other favorites! Mr. Polar bear didn't do too much but sit around, but it was feeding time for the penguins so that was fun to watch. I didn't get many good pictures of the penguin's because of the glare off the glass. This picture; however, turned out pretty good:)

Lets not leave out Pat's favorite animal...the tiger!! Man were they pretty... those two boys in the middle are pretty handsome as well! Hope you enjoyed our fun day at the Omaha Zoo!! Until next time...

Omaha Tournament

Our trip to Omaha was lots of fun despite all the rain! What I thought would be a weekend of non-stop baseball turned into a relaxing mini vacation since we only played three games (one per day.) The boys had fun swimming, playing the WII in Tylers room:), going to the zoo, and catching part of the Texas vs. Arizona World Series game. We actually only got to see about 10-15 minutes of the game because there was no place to sit and they wouldn't allow standing by the rails. We did get to see Texas get on the score board by hitting a single home run before being asked to leave. We decided to eat dinner at the ballpark while "listening" :( to the game...the boys seemed to like that ok. Especially when they got to get their pictures with some "HOT CHICKS" from Texas!!

Ok so Ben wasn't as excited as his buddies...he is not quite as "In To" girls (thank God!) as some of his friends:) After the game we went back to the hotel and I went for drinks at Margarita's with some of the parents while Pat did bedtime duty. After all the walking and waiting in lines at the World Series Game I was sooooooooooooo ready for a frozen margarita!! Thanks to Donna, Brad, Brenda, and Cale for going for drinks!!!

Fun Times, Fun Times!! I won't mention the mishaps which happened...I'll just say...like mother, like son:)

Today I learned how to add pictures to my blog. I know for most of you out there this is no big deal; however, for me this is HUGE!! Does this give you an idea of how far behind I am when it comes to technology?? Being able to show off my two wonderful boys is going to be so much fun. Now all our friends and family will finally be able to watch them grow (if I can keep up on posting:)
When I got home from class tonight I found my boys and a friend vegging out playing video games. Ben and his friend Tyler were suppose to have a baseball game tonight, but it got rained out so what better way to pass the time than some good ol popcorn and video games:) Yes they even let little brother (Drew) join in the fun:)

Posing for the blog was a big hit!!

Even Pat and I decided to be dorks and take a picture of ourselves! Can you tell which one of us took the picture??

Day 1

This is my first attempt at blogging. I've never even read a blog before let alone create one of my own. I'm taking an on-line class for my masters program and we are required to make a blog. My eager friend Marla decided to play around and set up her blog early and talked me into doing the same thing. Although she claims not to know much about technology her blog looks GREAT to me. She already has pictures, links to other blogs, etc. I'm still struggling to post my first comment. Since I've been at this way too long already and it is time to start dinner I will try and post some pictures of my wonderful children later. Thank you Marla for challenging me to try this thing called blogging:)
